Paper weight from GSM
GSM means grams per square meter. Once the sheet area is known, multiplying area by GSM gives the mass of one sheet.
Sheet weight (g) = sheet area (m²) × GSM
Estimate GSM from known weight
The reverse mode divides the known total grams by total sheet area. Use an accurate scale and a representative number of sheets for a better estimate.
